About

A*Forge is an engineering studio based in Ireland. The work covers sensors and telemetry, the pipelines that carry the readings, the services built on top of them, and the servers and networks all of it runs on.

Building something and operating it are different skills, and the second one is where most systems quietly fail. We do both, so the design decisions get made by the people who will be answering for them at three in the morning.

The name is a small joke. A* is the algorithm for finding the best route between two points, and a forge is where things get made. Work out the route, then build the thing.
